Features

Interim Term.
Early each spring, The Meritas Family of Schools designates a period of time as Interim Term. This is an opportunity to study a subject intensively, often using interdisciplinary methods and traveling to locations pertinent to the subject. Some of these offerings involve field trips in the area, but many involve significant travel — both within the USA and internationally.

Semester or Year Abroad.
Rancho students have an opportunity to spend a semester or a year abroad at another Meritas school. Credit earned abroad counts towards graduation from Rancho Solano.

Summer Language Immersion Programs and Cultural Tours.
Rancho students can enroll for intensive language immersion programs at other Meritas schools and also travel with other Meritas students on tours of different countries and cultures around the world.

Video-Conferencing.
Rancho students can link up with students at other Meritas schools to study unusual or highly specialized disciplines, coordinate on special projects, practice speaking in second languages, the opportunities are endless.

Athletic and Academic Tournaments.
Rancho students participate in several Meritas competitions during the year, which bring together outstanding students from all the schools in the Meritas system.
